This is part of the #Dungeon23 challenge in which you make one room to a dungeon every day for a year. In an effort to link my memories to the creation, I am also writing a personal journal entry with each room that may or may not be related.
You don’t have to read that part.

A map using the DungeonScrawl website. Check it out.

The dark trail leading from C1 slopes upward at a steep angle. It eventually opens up into a large room.

If you enter this room with torches lit, you’ll see stalagmites and smooth boulders, but nothing much of interest. However you do get an eerie feeling of some kind of presence.

Should you enter without any light, or if your torches go out, you’ll see spectral images on the walls of demonic boars watching you.

It is in the dark that the dark beast of Chaos, Inosh, can see the adventurers and may send some Butazwein to bring you to him. It is important to keep torches lit.

I had this idea that I may continue to flesh out, that down here losing light means that the “Big Bad” can see you where ever you are. So you need to keep some light going at all times or deal with bad guys.

I feel like I should have some kind of warning or realization that this is the case somewhere. We’ll figure it out. But I like that idea of stressing resources.

Another long day of work and driving.

Got home and discovered the storm broke the swingset/tree house in our backyard. It’s fixable, and I’m relieved that this was the worst to happen while we were gone. It’s fixable though, and gives me another project to work on.

I think our power had gone out because the ice in the freezer had melted at some point and then re-froze.

But even with these problems, I still feel more and more positive about the future. It’s hard to explain, but I’ve been describing it to Gail as “feeling like water.” Every obstacle that meets me I feel like I can flow like water in another direction.

Maybe I’m an empty cup, as I mentioned in my 3rd post.

I can’t call it, as the wise man once said, but I’m going to enjoy it.

I think it’s time to finish Season 3, what do you think?

See you tomorrow.
