B13.

This is part of the #Dungeon23 challenge in which you make one room to a dungeon every day for a year. In an effort to link my memories to the creation, I am also writing a personal journal entry with each room that may or may not be related.
You don’t have to read that part.

B13.

This looks like it was once a bunk room for soldiers. Wood splinters litter the floor. Two large rock formations have penetrated through the floor of Kik’ina Kir.

A map using the DungeonScrawl website. Check it out.

There is a small room that is revealed by the southern rock formation. It had been sealed off centuries ago, as it was a drain for the shower room above. A drain is visible in the ceiling.

The interior walls of this drainage room are covered in black fungus and mold. And it smells of decay and dead animals. Searching the room runs the risk of illness or disease.

A black ooze lives here and may have been encountered in the shower room A19.

On the floor near the middle of the eastern wall are some pick axes and shovels. They were used by Riblum Goblins as a way to get to room B15, which is completely shut off from them.

Unfortunately the black ooze that lives in this room made the excavation difficult.

The southern door is locked and guarded on the outside by Ashfoot Goblins.

Treasure: The drain room area has a very nice dagger. Pulling it from the muck you’re amazed that the blade has maintained a mirror polish.

Duplicitous Dagger

Whatever is cut by this blade will suddenly have a mirrored version of themselves appear. It’s the exact opposite in attitude. This duplicate will be around for a short time unless it is murdered. If the original dies before the duplicate - the duplicate remains on this plane of existence forever.

There’s a pretty good chance you won’t know the dagger does this until you use it on someone.

As you may have noticed I had to do some editing to the map to place that drainage room I promised. I wonder if I forgot anything else.

After working on getting my kids ready for school I started setting up my office a little. Today was mostly about figuring out my camera set up.

I’m thinking about doing a little hang out stream to test my internet connection. It’s not where I’d like it be, and I’m going to attempt to run an ethernet cable through the walls of my house to my office. I think I can do it pretty easily. It’s a fun project to figure out anyway.

I also realized that I have to learn how to take care of my yard. So that’s a whole youtube rabbit hole I’m about to go down. I can’t quite figure out if I’m going to find it all tedious or become terribly obsessed with perfecting my grass. I think I’m the latter - but who knows maybe I’ll surprise myself.

That’s it for tonight. Hopefully I can get the stream going. If not tonight - definitely tomorrow.

See you tomorrow.
