A10.
This is part of the #Dungeon23 challenge in which you make one room to a dungeon every day for a year. In an effort to link my memories to the creation, I am also writing a personal journal entry with each room that may or may not be related.
You don’t have to read that part.
A10.
Through the double doors you enter the fortress of Kik’ina Kir. Though it appeared to be alive with occupants from the outside, you discover it dark and still on the inside. Tattered tapestries hang from the walls, pigments are too faded to make out much detail.
Rotten weapon racks are collapsed throughout the room.
A giant snake lives in this room and stretches along the wall opposite the double doors.. To adventurers with poor observation skills, the snake will blend in to the shadows at the base of the stone wall.
If it catches the heroes by surprise it will slowly curl up and snatch them into the air.
To the north is what appears to be the top of a stare well heading down, but it has been boarded up with new wood, and covered in heavy rocks.

After all that talk about Clerics, I wrote a very long blog post on Alignment Languages elsewhere on the site. You can click HERE to read it.
I think it’s pretty neat. No idea what it’ll lead to but I’m hoping it makes my games more fun to run and play in. That’s about all I can hope for.
…
I finished drawing out the map today. Well the outline of it. There should be enough spaces for me to finish out the month. It’s kind of exciting to see the whole level at once. Now I just have to key the rooms. One. Day. At a time.
…
Packing continues.
Nasal pain continues and is waking me up way too early in the morning. Me hates it. I’m good through most of the day, but it sucks in the morning and before bed.
…
I think that’s all I got today. Which is a lot if you read that other blog post. This whole exercise has been great at getting me to write more. Certainly feel more creative and more capable of expressing my ideas.
It’s only been 10 days and I’d call this whole Dungeon 23 a success so far.
See you tomorrow.
